Between Salt Lake City and the mountains

Murray is just nine miles south of Salt Lake City in the US state of Utah and has a population of around 46,000. Originally a famous  centre for smelting, the city now provides residents with a wide variety of employment and recreational options.

The city offers the usual range of municipal services and easy access to Salt Lake City by road and rail.

The area around Murray is dominated by the Oquirrh Mountains. There are opportunities for hiking, climbing, skiing, canoeing and white water rafting.  The many lakes and rivers in the region afford excellent fishing and there are several challenging golf courses.

Positioned as it is between the state capital and the wilderness of the Oquirrh Mountains, Murray offers the best of both worlds.
