Greens Creek Mining Company

Bald headed eagles, bears and the breath-taking vistas

Greens Creek Mine is located in the Tongass National Forest which stretches 500 miles along the south eastern coast of Alaska. It embraces hundreds of islands, majestic mountains, sparkling glaciers and deep fjords. It is the largest and most intact temperate rainforest in the world.

A popular tourist destination, Tongass offers unique chances to view bald headed eagles, grizzly bears, Sitka black-tailed deer and spawning salmon plus the breath-taking vistas of wild Alaska.  You can take a sled-dog ride on a glacier, hike boardwalk trails, fish in streams or ocean or just relax in one of Tongass' 150 remote cabins.

Greens Creek Mine works hand-in-hand with local, state and federal government agencies to ensure that the wilderness of Tongass is preserved for future generations.

The city of Juneau is situated in the north of the forest and provides a welcome respite for those who prefer café strips and shopping to the wilderness life.

Accommodation at the Greens Creek Mine site is modern and comfortable and affords all the latest amenities.
